Shannon McPherson and John Stewart demonstrated perseverance and an outstanding work ethic both on the basketball court and in the classroom.

In honor of their contributions to the City-County All-Star Game and to commemorate their legacy to the community, Super Shootout Inc. annually awards two $1,000 scholarships to a deserving male and female Marion County high school senior.

Super Shootout Inc. (SSI) has the sole responsibility for selecting recipients. This application becomes the property of SSI. I acknowledge decisions of SSI are final. I certify that I meet the eligibility requirements of the scholarship and that the information provided is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge.

How to Apply

All interested students should fill out the following application.  Additionally, students must send a current “Official” high school transcript and a copy of student’s FAFSA Student Aid Report Summary or copy of parent’s previous W-2 addressed to:

To be eligible to apply for the McPherson & Stewart Memorial Scholarship, the student must:

- Be a Marion County high school senior planning to enroll in a fulltime undergraduate course of study at an accredited post-secondary institution.

- Have a family adjusted gross income for the previous calendar year of $50,000 or less.

- Have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.0 (on a 4.0 scale)

- Submit one letter of recommendation from a school official from your current high school.



If selected, the student will receive a $500.00 scholarship.  Scholarships are paid in one installment and paid directly to the post-secondary institution upon proof of enrollment.  Recipients who fail to enroll in the Fall Semester will forfeit their scholarship award.
